This gourmet galley kitchen has loads of cabinet space and a pantry. The cabinets were created from rosewood and maple by a master cabinetmaker, who made even the three-piece molding by hand. Each drawer and door is hand-routered for ease of opening sans hardware, thereby maintaining the clean lines. The stove is electric, but gas is available from the pantry [we have a gas water heater]. The sink is a deep, stainless-steel Teka, with a sound-proofed bottom. The faucet is Portofino, with a sprayer and an under-sink water filter. The dining area immediately adjacent is approximately 10 x 8, and opens into the living room, but a formal dining room could be created using the 4th bedroom which, like the kitchen pantry, opens into the Great Room.
